Digital Currency Group의 자회사 (Coindesk, Genesis Trading 등) 중 하나인 그레이스케일 인베스트먼트는 최초의 BTC 투자펀드를 만들어 운용하고 있는 회사이며, 많은 기관 투자가들이 투자를 하고 있는 펀드로 알려져 있음.

그레이스케일 분기별 누적 유입금액을 2013년4분기부터 살펴보면

2017년 4분기 BTC 최고 고점을 실현 후 2018년1분기부터 급격히 늘어나기 시작하였으나 점차 성장율이 줄어들다가, 2019년 3분기부터 급등하기 시작하였음.
